Changing plug wires on a 102..........

In my attempt to remove a plug wire from one of the coils on my 102, after pulling and twisting it finally came out. However, it did leave the steel core wire still attached down inside the coil. This wire broke off right at the opening in the coil where the plug wire goes in. Any ideas on how these wires are supposed to be installed/removed and why is this wire stuck in my coil?
