You can help support Sean McKean's recovery in many ways. Here are three:
1. Pray. You don't need to wait until later to pray, do it now. You have no idea how well prayer works until you are the beneficiary of the prayers of others. If you are unsure of what to pray here's some help. Say this out loud or to yourself (God hears both):
God, please give Sean your strength to help him recover from this accident. Provide his doctors and medical staff with the skills they need to successfully treat him. Help Sean and Lorraine face his recovery with hope, knowing that friends, family and even strangers are praying for them and are willing to help. Amen.
2. Donate to his GoFundMe.com link above. Donations can be as little as $1. It might sound cliche, but sometimes it truly is the thought that counts and not the dollar amount.
Or look at this another way. If you saw Sean in the pits right now with his bandaged foot propped up in the air, sitting next to his busted-up boats, how would you offer to help him?
Now convert your offer to a donation on his GoFundMe.com page.
It's that simple.
Donations can be made anonymously if desired.
3. Share. Crowdfunding works best when friends of friends learn of someone's need and decide to make donations even though they may not know the recipient personally. Whether you donate or not, click on the link http://www.gofundme.com/cpv6bs and share Sean's story on Facebook with your friends. The world is filled with wonderful people who are willing to help. But first they need to learn someone needs their help.
Lorraine is so thankful for all this support. She had no idea the McKean's had this many friends in this boat racing world. It is so important for her to see this kind of friend ship. It will be a long road ahead but we feel everything will work out. God Bless all of you.

"I just got home and checked this thread [on BoatRacingFacts.com] . It's almost unbelievable how much money has been contributed so far with less than 500 views. At only ten dollars a pop, and lots of people coming on board.....Sean and Lorraine could have a heavy load lifted while Sean is recovering. Lot's of surgeries ahead. Some big time help now would mean a lot toward Sean and Lorraine in their first steps toward the healing."

You can be a part of something special by donating as much as your budget -- or your heart -- allows:
Brian, he has a doctor's appointment tomorrow the they plan to drive to Texas later in the week. Chase starts school next week. Hopefully Bob will post tomorrow.
Big day for Sean tomorrow morning. Will have a look at the foot and see what it really looks like. Please keep Sean in your thoughts and prayers for a good report.
Sean, Lorraine, Chase & the dog are now in Texas thanks to Denny Henderson and Al Davis who drove Sean's rig. They flew into Chicago and I drove the MaKean's to Depue to meet up with them. They got back last Sat. and Chase was in time to start school on Monday. He has an appointment in Sept. to have his foot checked. He is still not out of the woods yet.
