I ran across a store that had an old wooden round nose hydroplane leaning up against the wall. I talked to the owner about the boat and inquired what it is and if it was for sale. The owners communicated it was their grandfather's boat and was a 1956-57 11-1/2 foot Cobalt race boat? I am familiar with the pleasure boat manufacturer Cobalt, but this is a new one to me.
Anyone know anything about this brand of race boat or is likely to be some other brand of boat where the translation has been lost over the years. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures...yet.
