My best 25MOD wheel ever by 1-2 mph is a Papa Smith "D" wheel I ran with 16/21 gears!
It is still at the bottom of Justus Lake, Franklin, Pa. attached to bottom half of a 20H tower and a fresh 30H foot from the 2005 MODIFIED Nationals that Joel Wiegal was leading with my #1 25MOD rig!.........DOH!!
His cork-screw flip and Steve Wheeler's, at the same moment, gave me a 3rd place finish in my second rig that flight. I was a 1/2 lap back..........
$500 reward stands to diver who returns it to me!!.
It's between turn 2 and finish line............Unless it was stuck in a turtle?
Matt, I think I have your 30H Merc/CSH Papa wheel........ Has "Matt" etched on hub .......Will show ya at Franklin?
Hope to test on 25SSH rig Friday.
Great pic Dean!!
