    I agree with Dave Mason on this. Due to the accelleration of the 44XS, especially on a short course, the race between a D-Mod and a good running 44XS can get pretty exciting. The 44XS just has too much accelleration over the old thunderbolts.There have been a number of the old style emmerging in Canada, but it's seperated and run as a Classic DSH class. It has definitely added to the sport and, for those inclined to tinker a bit, it's even gained a few New D-Mod boats along the way.

      oh well

      well after talking with quite a few people it sound like the the old 44 blocks will get beat by the 44xs all the time and I dont have the bucks for a 44xs, I will just have to wait to get one and try d=stock.It would still cost a bit to put together a old 44 stock and to just get beat(I get beat as it is ) is not worth it to me.Also thanks to steve dunn for all the help at jesup. thanks mike
