  • Urgent donations for Website needed

OK guy's we all need to hit the pay pal button on the upper right side of the screen and make a donation to Dan, our entry fees are usually $35.00 per class and I usually run 2 to 4 classes per day, so at least one entry fee isn't going to break us. I came in from the races Sun night and clicked on Hydroracer.net and guess what NOTHING HAPPENED! Then I got the message Dan had put up saying he was shutting the site down and the reason and I couldn't believe it. All Sun night I thought about this. What if Hydroracer went down, what are we going to do. The number of people using this site for info like race dates, registering and communicating with each other and to sell boats and motors is staggering. Without this site we would be lost and it would hurt all of boat racing. Dan spends a lot of time keeping this site going and his own money doing it. We need to support this site and Dan for doing it. Think real hard and imagine if there was no Hydroracer.net how would we communicate, we wouldn't!!! We all need to go to pay pal now and donate, and if you aren't signed up for pay pal email Dan for his address and send him a check. This is urgent and I know everyone that reads this will understand how easy it is to get burned out on something as tedious as keeping a website going. So we need to show our support for Dan by helping him the best way we can. Secondly we also need to say a big THANKS to Dan for this site and all the hard work!!!
Thanks Dan for all the hard work and please keep it going!!!
    Bob

I think some of APBA-Aof-NBRA should contribute as well. this is about as good a resource for promotion as there is. New topic for the national meeting

Bob...your idea of contributing an entry fee is a good one. If we can afford to race we should be ready to support this site with the same dollar amount. I think we all would agree that HR helps all of us with pre and post race communications that make our racing experience much more enjoyable. APBA should help fund this valuable site but you know that ain't happenin and we need to step up to the plate and fund this for US. Here in Region 6 the entry fee in stock outboard is $25. That is what I have given and I challenge all other Region 6 drivers to do the same. My one and a half cents worth.

APBA ... We need your support!

Bob Hartman is right on target ... we need APBA to step up and make a major contribution to the continuation and longevity of this site ... screw the politics ... someone needs to make it happen.

Hydroracer.Net is by far and away the best marketing tool APBA has at its disposal in years. Hydroracer.Net, in my opinion, draws more racers to more events and creates more interest in outboard racing than we have had the benefit from in years. APBA Board of Directors ... most of you check in here on a frequent basis ... let's see some action!

                Apba ???

Sure, if the APBA would donate to hydroracer NO STRINGS ATTACHED! As in the moderation would not included censorship of posts that question APBA policies , rules, etc. That is the beauty of hydroracer, racers can vent and rant and discuss, and even on occasion, reach an agreement.

                      Right on Darren,

I have certainly gotten my use out of this website and not contributed dime one, but I would feel the sting if we lost this website. Dan, PM me your address, and a check will be in the mail. And if you want a ride I've got an old, but still good Racecraft A runabout that is yours, just say the word. Ponch gave it to me, and I have been saving in to find a new driver to get in the sport. But getting Dan in a boat would be just as important, if not more. So Dan, if you're interested let me know. And everyone else, lets not let the best marketing tool/promoter for our sport go away.

                          Ride For Dan

                          Dan,

Talk to Davey. With his bad back, he should not be driving yet. Maybe you can get behind the wheel of his 250 hydro. First time you pull the pipe, you will forget all about go-karting!!! Just bring some tooth picks to get the bugs out your teeth!!

You can also take a ride in my boat. You just may have to stretch to reach the pipe pull lever with your right foot.

                            Time to ante up

Hydroracer is the glue that holds the sport together despite our geographic separation. It is the most effective marketing tool to reach racers - new, old and prospective. Events, buy and sell, products and club links, advice are all here... It brought me back after 22 years. I was able to connect with racers in Florida, Ohio and Canada when looking for equipment. Could not have happened any way but the web and Hydroracer. I kicked yesterday in via PayPal.
