  • Marathon Nationals....

this info copied from the APBA Reg11 website:

Saturday: The race started in the rain. The rain did stop about 1/3 in to the 43 mile race. Mullett Lake was rougher than normal, especially the north part of the lake. There were 19 CSRs entered. Winner was Tim Ross, 2nd Kim Park, 3rd Richard Runnie, 4th was Pete Schawb, who since seeing the race at 7 years of age had always wanted to race in Top 'O. He got his chance 50 years later. Both Craig Bowman's & Butch Ott's race ended when they "stuffed" in Mullett Lake. 12th was Carl W, our diver from region 11. Darrell Sorensen did not finish

DSR had 11 entries Wayne Blomberg wis the winner, his boat powered by a 55H. Sunday's course will cover Burt & Crooked Lakes and Crooked & Indian Rivers.

Here is what I heard. Chris Hagerl won BSR. Nick Jenkins won ASR. That all I know so far. Had a bad cell phone connection with Margaret when we talked on the way home from Beloit.

Also heard that Amanda Hagerl flipped and was knocked unconscious. She went to the hospital and was checked out. She was back in the pits tonight. Hope all is well Amanda, love you like a daughter.

ASR- Nick Jenkins, This kid is having a great year!!!!
BSR - Chris Hagerl, Steady performance on hometown coarse.
CSR- Tim Ross & Kim Park, Co-winners. Timer failer problem.
DSR - Wayne Bloomberg, Ran a 55h old style Mercury
25SSR - Bobby Austin, Looked great for coming out of retirement.
JSR- Charlie Smith, You should have seen these kids trying to get on plane in 3 to 4 foot waves and 20 mph winds. Looked like pogo sticks on water.

Thanks Don You're like family to me I love you ...I am doing well. I really do not know how it all happened. I had a hard enough time getting on plane in Burt lake along with all the rest of the A's. Crooked river was smooth and entering crooked lake I went off plane and went the whole length of crooked lake with my head banging on the deck trying to get on plane. I finally got on after the first checkpoint, I made the second check point and went off plane AGAIN! I put my Leg out to get on plane again and then next thing I knew the patrol boat came up to me and was yelling for me..They checked me over at the hospital and All is good. I came out with just a concussion and a lot of bruises. Thank You to everyone that was concered, It means a lot to me that people care
