It's hard to believe but next week is Dayton! It was 20 years ago since my last race there. I have great memories of the event.
I can see Boss Berghauer blowing away the field in ASH. His brother walking through the field of Hot Rods in BSH with a 20H to win heat one and then jumps heat two.
Larry Lister and Sam Hemp trading paint in CSH was great. Mike Ross going by me in DSR, not great memory. Mr. CSR, Donny Pontius was running great as always. I think he won. How about the ASR rocket of that Neal had?
What I can remember of the Lemmes and cannibal sandwiches at the region 7 tent were great too.
On a serious note:
For those who were at the winter nationals in Ocoee, when have you ever seen more wrecks? I think they ran out of accident reports.
Try and remember this is JUST a boat race. Yes it's a nationals but no one is trying to win a pile of money. We are hobby racers. Lets' all try to use our heads, race hard and clean.
