SONY DSC F828 users
I just wanted everyone to know that I have acquired and tested a 1.7x teleconverter, Sony VCL-DH1758, and it gives superior performance. I shot the same objects at 200mm and at 1.7x 200mm (340mm) and cropped and enlarged them to the same object size. the 1.7x converter gave about 1/2 the pixalation. It works!
Sony does not recommend this fior the 828 and it took me almost a year to find out why. The will not guarentee the zoom with an extension like this. I find that it works fine.
It can be had from beachaudio.com on the internet for about $120. A definite great buy.
