In the spirit of the Tour De France and with a strong possibility that Lance will secure his 7th straight tour win I got to thinking………

Who holds the record for consecutive national championship victories in any single class?

One that comes to mind is Tim Ross 8 consecutive CSR marathon wins @ Top-O-Michigan. From 1997 thru 2004. Will be going for # 9 this year. I know we have a few guys gunning to break that sreak.

I believe Worm is the only person to win CSR 3 years in a row. Dean Sutherland may be the only person to win CSH back to back years.

Does anybody know if anyone has ever won CSH 3 times? Not in a row, but at all. I know there are quite a few guys who have won twice, but I can't think of any who have won 3 times.

Thanks for the press Ryan, but I know that Tim Sidor fellow MHRA member went back to back in CSH.

Buddy Tennel did win 125cch 6 times in a row in a three heat format!

I think my friend Mark may have gone 4 times in a row in BSH!

How many did Hutchins brothers do in BSH?

Dave Dewald in 25SSR?

Worms CSR accomplishments are very impressive as well.

Maybe not in the same class each year, but it seems that Mal Hardin and Dan Kirts won a National Championship each year for a long time. Chris Hellsten also, again maybe not always in the same class.

14J you are correct. CSH first place: 1987Hinton, 1988Wakefield, 1989Lawrenceville (Borrowed Ken Goll's B&H for that one).......... Also at Lawrenceville won DSH,25ssh and clinched Merc Challenge/UIM Titles in DSH and 25ssh. Was a fun week till the motor home blew up.
