When I post a thread about photos "coming soon" it's more than a teaser. It's really an exercise in goal setting. I figure if I publicly announce I'll post my photos soon, I'm more likely to do so.
This week is particularly tight because I only have two days to do the work to get everything online before I leave for Williamsport, PA early Thursday. If you're really good with a calendar you'll figure out that it's really three days since I'm posting this Sunday night. But since I have s-l-o-w internet at home (dial-up) it's pointless to do anything Monday.
So that leaves Tuesday and Wednesday to do the posting at work. But the funny thing about work is that they actually expect me to work when I'm at work so that even leaves me less time to do the work that I want to work on while I'm at work. Get it?
So all this is to say that I may only post "the best of Sharptown" and not all 375 photos. Not only due to a lack of time, but because the regular photo contributers to hydroracer.net have "raised the bar" of what a good racing photo should be.
What I used to think was a good photo is now only "average". So about every 20 average photos I see one that I >>now<< think is "good".
I'll leave the race results to someone else to post, except to say that we ran Saturday only because Sunday was a blow-out. No flips, no dumps, no drivers even got wet. It was a safe weekend.
And Buddy Winemiller got his first boat ride in 5 years, even though it was only one test lap on Sunday.
