  • Banks Lake NBRA Race "Racers Reunion" Father's Day

Just got word from Northwest Water Competition (NBRA affiliate) they will be running a Father's Day race at Banks Lake--and are expecting a contingent of drivers from the Stateline Club (an AOF affiliate). In addition the invitation has been extended to a number of Widby Roostertail members and the Seattle Outboard Association to run in this "Racers Reunion", along with anyone else not affiliated with NBRA who wants to pay the fee and run.

This is NOT a joint race. This is an NBRA race and will be run under NBRA rules and with K&K insurance. The non-members will be paying the $25 non-member fee to race.

We welcome these folks to an NBRA event and will strive to provide a well-organized race and event that should be well received by all.

Thanks to Charlie Mackey for his efforts in making this work, and thanks to the Stateline club members who voted unanimously to race with us on a weekend in which they--through no fault of their own--lost a race site to county regulations.

Here's to a good "Reunion" and some great racing.

    Congratulations to all concerned.

      Double Sanctioned

Yes, Kevin, and the good news is:
Dan and I talked this morning and they have agreed to double sanction the race so that you can get AOF points. Also, NBRA has agreed to work out their stipulation that there can only be one special event at a race. All flatbottoms, PRO, and Vintage Hydros will run under the special event clause and be counted as one special event with different heats. The NBRA dues will be paid by the sponsor and won't come from your pocket.
AOF drivers will also then have medical coverage with our hospital trust fund, which they do not have under the NBRA policy. Looks like this will be a good time!
