Waterford, Ontario Race Question

Does anyone know if camping will be as high priced as last year ? I recall Izzy charged an enormous price for trailer parking and camping last year. Just trying to plan the race calander this year. I hate to miss the race, but to spend $150.00 + on rustic camping and race trailer parking is a bit steep....

The Waterford costs have been fixed!!

Word at our last meeting from John Webster in discussion with Izzy's is this:

$18 Canadian per car/truck per night, this includes 4 adults.

I can't remember the extra person fee, but it was about $8-$10 I think. And kids 13 and under (or something like that) are free. My understanding is it will all be in writing and on the circular when you receive it.

These is a huge improvement over last year and pertty reasonable I think given the amenities provided.

I believe US entries will cost $25 US (again see circular for official costs)

Live entertainment is also being provided! Our club is paying towards it so hopefully it's decent.

Great pits, great camping, hook ups available, food available on site, live music, huge bon fire, great swimming area for after the races, sand beach, beach volleyball court, kids swings and things, tri-oval circuit!! It's a blast!

And AGREED Dave, last year was awful!! The club feels terrible!

We had no control and it was sprung on us as we came in the gates ourselves. We made it priority one to fix that for this year and all years to come!

All costs should be clearly outlined on the circular.

I know it was not the clubs fault at all, just caught everyone by suprise ! Tell Izzy we love to come race, but he has to keep those costs average with everywhere else !

Since it is back down to reasonable, we will see you there !! I love that track, and the pits are nice to, not to mention the gravy fries at the little camp restauraunt.

P.S. - Get the word out that the DSH (44XS) have to step up to the plate and run both days this year or we will lose one trailer ! No more wussing out !

Live entertainment Saturday night, big bonfire.
Sand beach, kids play area, washrooms, food stand on site for all meals.
Camping with hook ups available on site.
Great swimming area for after the races
Private lake, no boat traffic. Tri-oval course that is a blast to run on.

This place is very similar to Franklin, PA only a little smaller. You’d think it was made for racing…
