  • Race Schedules

Interesting posts about Millville, and what to put on and what not to put on at any given race. One can see from this site that often times people get miffed about their class not being on the schedule.

So maybe folks could post here what the major classes that have consistent boat counts at each race by region ? Maybe if people know the major classes that are a guarentee you might be able to plan your season ahead and make arrangements for some travel.

Not looking for any fights on this thread, so if your class is left off, don't hijack the thread. This is just for imformation purposes.

From my point of view the most popular classes in Mod Region 6 are:

    BMH
    CMH
    DMH
    FEH

These are classes that you could pick and just about guarentee enough boats for a good race at any event in Region 6.

Close is 25MH, usually enough, not everytime, DMR, and FER are also in that class.

Anyone else from Region 6 and other regions care to provide input ?

in region 2 for all pretty popular classes seem to be:
dsh, 25ssh, csh, csr, dmh, feh, d classic hydro, ash
and most of the time there are around 4 boats (making them run most of the time but not all of the time) for:
jsh, axsh (gained at least one this year), asr, 20ssh (may have gained one and can put another one in if a motor is availible to be borrowed - for beginning of the season anyway), 25ssr, cmh, cmr (one new rig ready this year)
classic BSH is also run sometimes, rarely though, for the exception of crystal lake.

any other region 2 guys can correct me if i'm wrong

      Region 4

      Hey Dave

Anything with a yamato (stock) powerhead, asr and ash.

The PRO category used to have quite a following in region 4, but it has probably been 10 years since we saw large numbers...

        proliferation of classes . . .

I believe a classic example is 25 runabout. I don't recall seeing a single 25 Merc leave the beach, the racers are CSR boats running a double classes. I'm open to an explaination for this particular redundant class, and if no reasonable explaination is available -- dump it.

I believe that the 25SSR was discused in great lengths in a different thread.

Anyone else from the regions going to comment ?
          Region 7 ?

Thanks Sean ! Blue Light for ya next time we meet.

Purpose of this info is to try and come up with a schedule that might perhaps benefit a region and the surrounding regions for boat draw.

Is this a good idea, or did I watch that movie Field of Dreams again ?
