  • PinevilleThanks

Got home sun nite around midnite. I really wish I could have stayed for Sunday but as it was ,My # 2 employee was out since I left. He is now a proud father of a 6"10" oz baby boy ( his first).
Thank you to All that helped us to get on the water. Julie is excited about her first boat ride and I think you will see some more of her. Jack Stotts, ran a tight race and is a great referee. I can't say enough GOOD things about the Sumerall Family. Not only did they pull my purchased rig to the race for me, they went over the motor, Greased the wheel bearings, set the timing ect...Mark and Ceciel Johnson I wouldn't have come down if not for them. ( the Louisanna purchase) Enjoyed TUNKS fri nite too... Great to see some old Friends. If the winter nationals comes about at this site you owe it to yourselves to come down here. one of my favorite race sites.

      Kevin and Steve:

I was pleased to meet both of you and know it was a trek... It's folks like you who will be the backbone of NBRA's growth, and those of us in NBRA know that. Thanks for coming, thanks for taking part, and thanks for saying what was on your heart.

Although my own performance this weekend makes me think I should run under the "Rear End Racing" title...I thoroughly enjoyed the Pineville race and was gratified to see all those who took time to come have fun in the gusty crosswinds of Louisiana.

Again, Steve and Kevin...and everyone else who came to Pineville to race and to see what NBRA is all about...thanks! Boat racing is alive, well and growing!!!

The Pineville/Alex race this past weekend on Lake Buhlow was a great way to start the season, although the winds could have been a little less and no one would have complained!

Lots of thanks go out to the STAR club who did a great job of hosting a race at a site that was not the original planned site! Great job!

Thanks, too, to Jack Stotts, for running another "crisp" schedule with obvious organization and consideration for conditions. Good work "Colonel!"

And thanks to Patsy Ruth and Becky Hawkins for a tremendous job of registration and scoring.

And, I know I've left out folks who were vital to the effort...no slight intended... just THANKS to all of you who made Pineville happen.

We're off to a great start.

Race pics from Saturday at Pineville

This is my first attempts at posting race photos. These were posted on another forum, but maybe they will be enjoyed here also! Wish I could have been there Sunday also.
