Camden Update
Saturday wind wind wind - cancelled the day around 11 am.
Sunday more wind but raceable - very small turnout for what we are used to at Camden.
Largest class was CSH (10 entries) won by John Runne.
Dave Howard had a nasty slow motion blow over in front of the judges stand - he broke his hand and wrist and was having surgery as of yesterday afternoon.
Thanks to everyone for all of their help and patience.

Thanks to the Rescue Boat rescue crew . . .
The two rescue boats emerged from their winter hibernation and a recent engine swap in a foul mood. Busy with wrenchs were Dave Augustine Sr., Jeff Williams, and David Howard, with assistance from Harry Danforth (parts driver?) and a few others.
Ms Piggy, the boat that received the smaller engine, wouldn't get on plane. Installing wedges to allow more tuck under (Ack! Must check the APBA rule on tuck under!), and going to a lower pitch prop cured Ms Piggy's problem.
The V-4 on the newer skiff wasn't pumping water. New pump installed, another problem was discovered. A plastic fitting on the oil injector unit broke. Yet another parts run. Then a control cable snapped! Parts run! I think this project was a four-tripper before it was over, maybe more. Finally, both boats in operation, but . . .
We're talking a nice warm sunny day and . . . boat racers! "Prop shafts are too deep, we need to jack `em up." Just a hint, the skiff is now quite fast.
Thanks to all involved.carpetbagger

Adventures in motoring (to Camden)
Not as bad as Fastjack's truck/trailer wreck, but this trip for me in Big Ugly (Dodge van) was dicey. Dern truck was going thru coolant at an annoying rate. but I couldn't see a leak. Today I found the leak. Test cap, no good, but actually it was a good thang `cause when I puimped up pressure to check the system *GUSH*. Now I have a wet driveway, and the freaking hose that seems to be the culprit requyires me to take dern near every belt drivan accessory off to get at it.
Lemme see here - dead 16 year old Dakota pickup becoming a planter in the yard, and a 15 year old dead leaky van. Both have major paint failure. They are UGLY! And I'm real weary of patching them together.
Solution: Yes, looks like a Quad Cab 4X4 Dakota fer me. Like I must do this under orders from SWMBO who said (loudly) "Get of that junk and get a new truck!" We all know to proper answercarpetbagger
