Nah, 165 is fine if you got a decent boat. I'm 155 and carry 10-15 pounds of lead.

Andrew I know your aswear to this ? already. Fralic!

I will be building this hydro myself from plans and I'm on a budget. MJR do not take this wrong I like your designs alot but they are out of my price range. What plans are out there? I know of two, Sorensen and Fralic. Are there others? Which one would you guy's suggest?

You may want to look into boat kits as well. This could save you time and possibly money. There are many good boat designs, so its a matter of personal preference.

Yes I like his boats. But he does not sell plans.

can't go wrong with Fralick plans, I built a CSH and now a new ASH for my son. Nice running boats easy to work with plans and the price is reasonable.

Lights I built two Fralicks last winter an A and a AMOD and have

a BSH boat in the jig right now putting the bottom on it. Both are

the best turning boats I ever drove and the plans are easy to follow.

Yes, I have build many from Darrells plans and kits. You might be better off with a kit as they are really inexpensive.
