Well . . .

If I was coming to Camden from ****yankee land, I'd hang a left off the Delaware Memorial bridge and pick up Rt 13 straight down the center of the Eastern Shore (Delmarva peninsula). This route avoids the I-95 traffic in Balto/Wash DC which is so horrible it has been known to make Bostonians scream in frustration. Many miles down scenic Rt 13 you'll cross the looonngg Bay Bridge tunnel into Norfolk, pick up I-264 and slide around to the Rt 17 south exit (Deep Creek/Elizabeth City), motor south thru the scenic Dismal Swamp right alongside the DS Canal (Surveyed by Geo Washington hisself). A few miles (6 ?) after crossing the VA/NC border hang a right on Rt 343, left at the stop sign, about 9 miles down the road apiece, turn right on Shipyard Landing Rd. A few city blocks down SL and you're there!
