Hey all,
Have you got the dust off your rigs from the winter. Out Almonte, Ont Race is around the corner. May 21&22 with the 23rd as a rain date. This is a meals on wheels race and lots of fun. I was out looking at the course yesterday and we will be able to nearly double the size of the course from last year with the water level on may.
We are running all stock classes, all mod classes, OSY 400, FAH, etc. We have been approached by the OPC mod V guys and they might be on the schedule as well. We have a large outboard vintage participation which is free to setup your display and we have vintage flyby's - 20$ must have proper safety equipment and a CBF/APBA member. We are hoping to top last years race in attendance and participation. Saturday night chicken Bar-bq 9.00CDN per plate. We will have an open mic night and kareoke party all Saturday night. So whatever you can play in instruments bring them along to hook yourself up and get your 30 seconds of fame of the race course.
for you merc racers - we should have 6-8 25SSH and 8-10 DSH, with 30H C classic and 10 Min D-classic (Super Thunderbolt) motors running that weekend. So come on out and have a blast with the Ottawa Valley Powerboat Club, we will show you all a great time.
It is about 2 hours northeast of I81 (thousand islands) 2.5 Hours northwest of I87 (montreal) and 4.5 hours northeast of Toronto.
Git er Done!!! - see ya there.
Regards,
