    Boot

Mercury P/N 20119 spark plug boot assembly. Think they are about $3.25 on boats.net. These are the deep ones.

I changed the ignition wires on my 302 to Packard 440 and used the Merc boots. Worked well.

Any local speed shop--MSD has some really good spark plug boots and wires pricey but will not come off.

These boots are made for Sparken

Jack -- Denis Kirk co . 1-800 -970- 2308 Has great boots that screw into the wire -no resistors and seal well - Part # 20-68 " KLG plug caps " about $6 each. Had em on my mod motors -worked great..

Jack I get them from Summit racing Taylor part number TAY-46061 it's a kit with 8 silIcone boots and 8 stainless spring loaded snap on connectors for 16.50 I use 8mm acell silicone solid core plug wire.

I use the the NGK LB01EP they are phenolic, but they snap tight on the plug, seal well, and they're cheap under $5. ea

Be very careful with those.I have had them come apart. So then I bought the all rubber NKG ones that are sold for PWC's. Got bit again. They did last for a few years but broke down during a Nationals Heat. Did not know what the problem was until a few months later when removing to look at the plugs the boot just came apart. Replaced them with the old style spring ones i got from TJ.

Jack, if you ordered the Merc ones, make sure you buy the Snap On (or equivalant) crimping pliers. They are the only ones that will crimp the connector properly...

Thanks Daren. I got the boots today at a local Merc dealer. Will look for some crimping pliers. I see you said Snap On but that others may do. Any recommendations on crimping pliers dimensions? I'm in an area that I know nothing about. It seems I'm finding more areas that fit this condition. Jack
