  • J Hydro Sizes???

Without getting into all the jokes about hydraulic tilt trailers and all, how big is a J hydro. I need to start building one for Kyle and after some reasonable advise for the boat. How wide, long, afterplane, lift, etc. We have the OMC, so that is what we will run.

I'd sure appreciate any help that you could provide. You either e-mail me directly or post here for the benefit of all.

    Thanks

I have build many J/A hydro's. most A hydro's will work just DO NOT MOVE THE MOTOR FWD. If you do will have trouble planning off. Sorensen makes a very good J/A kit boat.

      Anyone out there????

I posted the question 6 days ago. 100 views later I've only had one response by post and one e-mail. I didn't realize that this information wouldn't be that difficult to find ,and this is with me being a racer myself. I'd hate like hell to think how much help an outsider would recieve. Maybe this is case in point of why it is so hard to get into racing! Can somebody please give some info here? PLEASE!

I'd like to think that helping get a new racer started would be at least as important as snowmobiling, deer hunting or someone's birthday. I simply cannot believe that it is that hard to respond with at least some rough measurements.

      Thanks again

For approved A Stock Hydro design, you must contact the self proclaimed A hydro expert, Ed Hearn.

                  Dave

I was just on the long island racinc site. They say the lenght is at least 9.5 fett long.So 9.5 is the smallest it can be .I hope this helps a little
