  • Rocky Stone Memorial Kilos John Myers Memorial quarter mile

    As posted on another site:

"That time of year! Lincoln City, Oregon presents the Rocky Stone Memorial Kilos and John Myers Memorial quarter mile on October 5/6, 2013!

    Sanction: https://www.apba.org/internal/print_...p?EditID=12196

    Please pre-register! All categories welcome!

This truly is the fastest water in the world! Imagine an Early October day, it's 40 degrees at 8am at zero elevation. On one side of the famous Highway 101 is the pacific ocean and the other is Devil's Lake. The fog is rolling off the water as a grand prix hydro does 160mph+ across the smooth glass water! Awesome site to see! Don't forget Bob Wartinger breaking some kind of UIM record as well! And who can forget the 1100cch duel of a few years back with Sean McKean and JW Myers bumping the record back and forth at over 130mph! Again Awesome! Let's show the rest of the world who can go the fastest in a straight line!

This is a great opportunity for those seeking end of the year HOC points! See everyone there! I will post results here with speeds!"

I think I can guess but...

What kind of boat was Wart driving in the CSH 1/4 mile?

Bob was running an older 20/20 Mod/C Service boat built by Ron Anderson/Adams/Sorenson - a true competition boat.

Jim Ramsay is an OLD racer, who did very well (maybe Reg. 10 High point) in AOH (250ccH) in the mid-Sixties.

                  Pat Brians

Pat has ran well into the 90's and close to 100 more than one occasion in DMH as I know it. When he used to run here all the time in region 11 before running 350 hydro he was very hard to beat in DMH with Rich,Jan,Paul and Pats dad helping. There was one person that could keep him some what in check and the was Lonnie Morris's younger brother Donnie Morris. That would be really good racing between them 2 for sure.

Congrads to Pat and Rich. Also nice to hear Pat's back into a boat again!!!

Congratulations to Rich Fuchslin and God Son Pat Brians for their over 100 MPH record in D Mod. Rich works very hard to make these Mercs go that fast. Good job my friend. Steve
