My first National Meeting

Returned home last night from attending my first APBA National Meeting.
Great experience is the best I can say for my trip. A big hand needs to be
given to all the Meeting organizers, and volunteers who made it happen.
It was a great learning experience to see the organizational process, and
how our Association is run beyond just the racing I have done.
The Hall of Champions ceremony was an impressive display, and really gave
me personally alot of motivation to try to be able to participate as a
recipient.
If anyone has not attended a National Meeting I encourage you to do so.
It is well worth the effort to be a part of steering our organization.

Dennis your idea with the strobe lite sytem to mimmick our flag system was a great idea. I think you should get a gold star. Anyone thinking of things that save lives and make our racing safer should get noticed. I no our club is very interested in having one in the turn boats and one on the judges stand. I'm sure once racers see it in action on the coarse they will not like to race unless its out there. GREAT IDEA!!!!!!! Maybe Dan could post a picture so others can see how to be a safer club to their members and guests who race in their region. Keep up the great ideas. Brandt is looking down at you and I can see the smile on his face and how proud he is of you. Mike

We will have the new light systems

I personally ordered a set of 3 units, when my 3 Rivers club is not racing and you need to use them (until you get your own) Give me a call,I bought them on my own as I believe it is one of the best safety ideas to come along in some time.

Mike, Thank you for the kind words. Your comment about Brandt means more to me than I can express. I believe he put the idea in my heart and he will continue to be my driving force with this system.
Since the Meeting the system has improved thanks to the many requests,suggestions, and a little ice delay brainstorming.
Monday was spent refineing the support pole, contacting suppliers, contacting print shop for brochures.
As I stated at the meeting, I came to sell an idea, not a product. I was caught by suprise the overwhelming response that I received, but I will
accept the responsibility of making this a reality.
Look in the next week or so for a finished prototype to be debuted(sp?) here on Hydroracer.
