  • Soap Lake roll call

Less then a week to go till Seattle Outboard Association's 1st annual Soap Lake Regatta. Course will be 3/4 mile, certified for records. Water is very very fast, weather is supposed to be in the mid 80s all weekend. Testing on Friday, very low entry fees, and a mile course at Yelm the next weekend. Who is coming? I will be there both days in DSH and Dmod.....

No pat so I guess it's the bahl/Smoot version:

                  Water at Soap Lake

There is a rumor going around that the water at Soap Lake is nasty. This is NOT true. The water is slightly more alkiline then most lakes....but it is not a problem...not in the least. Back in the 80s it was pretty bad....but over the years runoff etc has diluted it to the point where it is fine. The inboards ran there in the spring and found no problems. A simple wash down with tap water takes care of everything. So...to the people that are putting this race down...get your facts straight. Dave

We'll run any Yamato hydro class. Still sharecroppin' out of Bahl's trailer. Be hunting down drivers. I think it's time for Mauldin to run 20ss again.

                      One more thing

Oh yah...the Seahawks have maybe the biggest game ever (aside from super bowl) coming up sunday night....so I want to find a place for all my racing friends to enjoy the game. So we need to get done early Sunday and get on the road.....where is a good place on the way back to watch game? Dave

I dunno Dave - gun jumping is expensive on our team. Pit Boss charges $0.25 for each one. I think that's why Zach drives for Tony now.
