Sounds pretty close to me........ 100 pounds for the modified Mercury and 92 pounds plus the weight of a pipe for the Yamato.

          Rb

Sorry ,but there is no longer a RB class,it was replaced by 175cch.This was done last year at the national meeting. With the current engines and class structures you don't have much chance against real pro boats but you can still have fun.
The BOD and in fact allparts of APBA don't have much use for any new classes.
          Just a thought

The best part of those guys changing restrictor plates all day, holding up the schedule so they can run 6 classes is that my 1 class gets bumped to the end of the day and then there isnt anyone left for patrol boat duty so the whole thing gets held up a little more.........
              gotta love it

the stock Yamato tower is not all that heavy, you might save 5lbs or so. Still, the weight differences between the 2 motors is not a performance factor........

Mabey the guy racing 6 times should have patrol boat 6 times...

                      Patrol Boat

The fact is, there are guys who always sign up for duty and a small portion that never do. At drivers meeting politely remind those who don't they should!

what's not fun about racing Cmod? I have nothing bad to say about PRO racing at all, but you will have to drive alot farther to PRO races. There are not as many PRO races as stock/mod either. I just think the best "bang" for your buck (no pun intended) is to race stock/mod classes or if wanting to race PRO....go 350. Heck, dem PRO racers got lots of $$$$ to race..........unlike this po stock/mod racer.....

Don't get me wrong, I've got my hands full with "C" mod hydro. And truth be known I've got enough stuff to run cmh, cmr, dmr,and dsh. I am JACKED to get out there and rip it up with you guy's All the races I've been to have been great fun...but I have a sweet 250 runabout that wasn't cheap. I wanted to run in pro because the rules are so much more reasonable. I have no problems with stock outboard racing. I have some issues with the mod stuff because the rules are so f**#ing stupid, I mean why call it mod if it's not no holes barred? Why not call it stock with a pipe? Can someone tell me why I cant stuff the block on my c mod merc?? or why I cant chamfer the intake and exaust ports on my Yamato?? In pro, you rung what ya brung, bore and stroke and you'r off. the way it should be. Besides all these supercool guy's I've been hanging with like, Nightmoves, Jerry Davids, Fatty, and Mark Johnson to name a few are already talking adout Constantine, and Depew. it's just kind of a bummer to have to sit it out. especially when my mod is supposed to be 7 mph faster than a osy 400 boat.If I was truely smart I would be more concerned with getting a good start and getting in and out of the corners with 12 other boats.

That is what makes boat racers such a great bunch. Most will help you with anything. Just don't burn one category or another, you might find yourself in one on kneel down category someday, better to not burn any bridges.

Glad you found a rig, now get your butt on the water... well water is hard here still.........
