We have had several discussions about this topic as it relates to Novice C. We didn't want to put any abitrary time limits in the rules, quite frankly if Novice C fits into a drivers comfort zone better than other classes then it's OK to stay. The deal is you can't make a career out of WINNING Novice C. Our hope was that the winners would move on to CSH or whatever once they won a couple Novice C races (hence the 3 wins and you're out for 3 rule). Here's what turned out to be the problem with that, seems boat racers like winning. As a non-racer I forgot to take that into account. The other thought was that the Novice C drivers would police it themselves, shaming the winners out. That has worked with some success, though I have to say it has taken a lot more pressure for some than I would have thought, it goes back to the drivers like to win thing.

I don't know if we'll end up trying to combine Novice C and 302SS, they are both working great as is, so we'll have to be cautious about making changes. Like Dave I am willing to listen and hope to have some good discussions about this next week.

        Money

I can't seem to find the rules for this class at APBA site. Is it open to all drivers? The way I read the post it is . You know if you let the SO. Pro drivers in they will take the money so what chance does a new guy have? How about this no past champ of any kind no driver that finished in the top 5 at last years Nat's just an idea. Put a boat age on the boats all boats must be 5 years old this will help the new guy

          Rules

Rules should be in the stock outboard section of the online rulebook.

All good stuff. Now what do we have to do to help Ric Montoya import more motors: I understand he is out of inventory.
