  • Need help with a prop selection

Here is what I have, it's a 12' tunnel with a bone stock 50 horse Mercury on it. The motor came with a 10 3/8" bronze 2 blade 17 pitch on it, and it sucks. I'm looking for some input on what would be the best for this set up. This going to be just a have fun lake boat, no racing. I was told a 3 blade 10 3/8", 19 pitch would be a good start, what do you guys think? Don't judge the boat by the way it looks now, its in the mock up stage right now. We are cutting the transom down to the right height before paint.

Check with Ron Hill - we got a 18 p 3 blade stainless wheel for my sons "Jaguar " Cat hull and it works great- 6200 rpm at 50 mph with him in the boat 1-986 Merc 50 hp with trim on a hydro jack plate. He list a lot on EBAY .
