I believe when Doug hit the shore he yelled to Miller, “It’s fine let’s go racing”.

Anytime I'm at a race and the wind is blowing I will hear someone say "Where's Doug B. when you need him.

This is a great topic, Dean Sutherland has threatended for 15 years about collecting these stories and making a book of it.
