Class B question

Hello races,

Looks like I'm finally going to be leaving land locked Alberta and moving back to Ont. next summer and I'm already excited about the idea of getting on the water. I have been looking around the web for info on the stock racing but have seen some conflicting info on the weight restrictions for Class B.

I have seen 360lbs for BSR which seems right but for BSH I have seen it listed as 365lbs on some sites and 350lbs on others. While I can't imagine why a hydro would have to weigh more then a runabout in the same class I'm also very new to this.

Could someone please point me in the direction of the correct info for the class.

Ive been setting my BSR rig at 365lbs for APBA racing. And i believe thats minimal.
It may be different for the different organizations.
Someone will chime in with some more concrete info soon.

If you are talking about racing in Ontario, are you talking Classic B (Merc 20h/20 hotrod), or APBA B (15 hotrod/sidewinder)? We have a couple hot rod 15 B's in our club but never see them at races usually. We have loads of Merc 20h's still racing.

Runabouts... CSR and ASR are you choices basically.

Local USA races support the APBA B hydros and runabouts.

CBF B Classic Hydro: 390 lbs (Hot Rod 20), 370 lbs (Mercury 20h)
CBF B Classic Runabout: 380 lbs
CBF 15SSH (B Stock Hydro): 365 lbs

Thanks for all the feedback, seems like I may need to set my sights on ASH & ASR as I don't see many Class B racers listed for the Canadian races. That's cool, I guess I just need to shed a few more pounds before next summer

There are 5-6 ASRs in our club. They seem to be taking most the year off each with various reason. Rumours of them getting out in the Dunnville August race are around. ASH, good field at any race.
