  • Huntington Role Call and Sanction June 8th and 9th

The racing season is upon us, which means that the Indiana Outboard Association's first race of the season is quickly approaching. The second weekend of June, 8th and 9th to be exact, the IOA will once again be hosting the 3rd annual Harry Brinkman Regatta at Huntington Indiana. We will have all mod classes on the sanction as well as C race and service classes, j classes, select stock classes, select pro classes, and this year will even have the superlight tunnels. Select stock classes include BSH, BSR, CSH, ASH, and DSH. Select Pro classes include 125cch and 175cch. In addition to these classes, Saturday will be the North American Championships for 500cc mod hydro and 400cc mod hydro and the divisional championships for all c service and c race classes. There is camping in the parking lot for $10 a night and hotels less than 5 miles down the road. I encourage all who can, attend this race. Hotel accommodations are close with plenty of restaurants close by. Plenty of pit space and a beautiful 3/4 mile, 5 buoy race course. The sanction is listed below and anyone who plans on attending, could you please reply to this thread with what classes you intend on running so that other people may see. We will also have all this information listed on the Indiana Outboard Association's facebook page. I myself will be racing 350cc mod hydro and 500cc mod hydro. Hope to see you all there!!!

                    Tim,
What time are you arriving? The IOA gets access to the pits around 11:00 am on Friday. Can't remember if your in a motor home - if so I will ask the trustee if it's ok to camp in their parking lot on Thursday night. Worse case is that he will charge you the normal $10.00/ night camping fee.

Looking forward to seeing you. Drive safely!

                      Bob, thanks for your concern.

I'll be camping at the Super 8. I should get in around 5 pm Friday

                            Huntington results

A great weekend of racing at Lake Clair hosted by the IOA GROUP, with Bob Koshka, John Sharp, and Donna and Steve Roskowski, with able help on the water and at the judges stand.

Not complete on the results, but a number of double winners in 750mh/R with Jason Dirksen, Braxton and Rick Miller in the 500r/h, JJ Walls in the CSH/CRR, Brandon/Brian Boyd, Daniel Koshka, and others.

Both days were over before 4pm each day with great cooperation from drivers and the operational crew. Congrats on a great race.

                            Ray
