Kill switch

I am finally ready to throw my vintage hydro in the water but I want to hook up a kill switch. Does anybody know how one would wire a switch to a Mercury KG4-H?

killin' the kg

you will need to run a wire from each set of points- below the mag plate outside the powerhead . If your points are set to fire 180 * apart connecting the 2 wires ( thru a switch ) will kill the motor. if your points are off a few degrees only one plug will loose spark.

Use a Pro style 3 wire kill switch. One wire from one set of points, one from the other and a third from ground. Foolproof.
