  • New Tohatsu D boat

Here are a few pics of my new D stock hydro...installed a front canard, made a few changes to lift etc to make it ride a little flatter. Decks are on, ready for epoxy. Hope to test in a few weeks......

                Pics

I messed up and accidently deleted them from hardrive instead of loading them into Hydroracer...It looks like last year's boat...cept it has an adjustable front canard. Man...that thing was a royal pain to build and install....headed back up to shop to take some new pics. Dave

Where did you get the wing? I've been thinking of playing with one just like that.

                              Canard

Scott...I actually designed and built it myself. Went online and got the specs for a Cessna 180 elevator and used those specs. What I did was buy some threaded rod and built the wing around it. Used spruce and 4 mil Okume, then covered it with carbon fiber. I can move it to any position I want....just take the deck hatches off and loosen the nut and move canard to where you want it. I wa also advised to put a stop under the thing in case it comes loose so it will not go into the full up position. Good advice from a friend... I had not thought of that. Dave
