Does anyone know which J Class rule changes were Approved??

Please no rants or complaints. I'm just looking for information on the rules, so we can get ready to go racing.

      Mikey..........

From what my local BOD rep told me recently the BOD has yet to have the post Texas conference call finializing the J Class rule changes!!

Perhaps contact Fred Hauenstein or one of you other local BOD members to get those answers........

We are also wondering if the J Class minutes get approved!!

        2013 Junior class rules

Mike, the 2013 APBA Junior class rules appear on the APBA website resouce page. I have been informed by a most reliable unofficial souce that they have NOT voted on the proposed changes for 2013. I recently had questions regarding this same issue, and was directed by a senior region 4 member to go to the source ( APBA ), I contacted Mark Wheeler and was informed as completely as possible by Mark of the status of these changes, and directed to J class committee members for any further info. I am sure that any changes will give ample time for all Junior class participating members to comply with.

          I think that...

The tuck rule was discussed at length with a motion to approve for JH. The JR was sent back to the Committee to find more info out before it would be approved.

I was on the BOD conference call Monday and I believe that any changes that were made will not take place until 2014 season.

What about the rounded pickle rule? Is that 2013 or 2014?

Do you think APBA (President Wheeler, Chairman Tennell, Director Dan Wiener) plan on making a formal announcement on the APBA website or through other means to advise the membership??..........

We have boatbuilders in Region 4 with boats waiting for modifications based on the BOD's actions (or inactions).

Thanks Adam for at least some info........

APBA posted the updated 2013 rules for J Classes on the APBA website this morning...........

Looks like all the safety rules were put off till 2014 including the 'pickle and hydrotuck' rules voted for by the J Committee.

Looks like the 'chainsaws' can be put away till next year.........
