    Paper

Would be cool if APBA had something printed up with the amount of money each racer and pit crew brings into the community....something along the lines of "this slip if paper represents X amount of dollars into your local community" or something along those lines. Dave

      Dave,

I don't think we truly want to be represented by the amount of money we spend at an eating establihment, bar, or hotel. If you truly add that up for a decent attended race, the small amount of actual cash trading will never represent the value. If we only spend $5000 wil th elocal economy, and are receiving $10K for sponsorship (this is a reality) the locals might take that amount and weigh it against how much they gave for sponsoring, or worse yet, give the politicans some ammo to use against us with the locals. Keep with the slip of paper just letting them know you are a racer and supported their business.

      Just my opinion.

        Money

You might be right....just throwing some ideas out there. Still have not found out who did the monetary study on financial impact of racing on a community. Dave
