              Doesn't matter

No life jacket and using the wrong hand to work the throttle.
Regardless of those issues Bob does have a smile on his face.

When I was a wee pup (before child endangerment laws) I operated the throttle (and tiller steering) with my right hand, and no life vest (not required in the mid-`50s), and no kill cord! I musta been crazy.

He needs to get his butt in the middle of the boat. One slight right turn, and he'll be fish food!

In the 50's I had a KG7 on an 8' Jinx. Never wore a life jacket, I don't think I even had a good one. Everyone used those floatable cushions with the straps. Kill switch? What was that? Started the motor, pushed the mag over to full advance, hit the throttle and was gone. At least I had a proper throttle.

                          First

His numbers are not of legal size or color for stock.

I think the front comes to a slight point, so I doubt it conforms to the round nose requirements. Not sure though, as I have no clue what it is anymore, the diagram makes my neck hurt, and the other rules George posted make my eyes blur.

Obviously the engine is way past the tuck in rule.

I would have to measure the 60% rule to make sure it passes this. Looks like it does though.

The steering cable being used looks a little stretchy...

And the # 1 thing I saw wrong was the big smile he has on his face... that is against the rules I am fairly certain.

I am pretty certain though, that this rig passes ALL U.S. Coast Guard rules, and safety rules.............................

                              Wooden Boat

I think I saw a featutre on that boat in wooden boat magazine a year or so back. The #'s are on the deck to cover the seam in the plywood.Later shots had a Merc control on the left side.
