  • ASH champion?

I have been busy in the boat shop for a while, but I heard a rumor that there was some sort of vote taken in Dallas? This doesn't seem possible to me, can anyone confirm or deny this rumor?

The membership went before the board and voted to have Matt reinstated as ASH national champ. Im not sure of the vote but heard it was 57 to 37 and as APBA is a membership run organization that can be done. Any member that was there could vote doesnt matter what class or catagory you are a member of you could have a vote.

I heard at the general meeting that Ed Hearn challenged Mr Strang's ruling on the SORC action on the pickle fork deal in ASH at Grass lake. The general membership voted in favor of over ruling Mr Strang. So Matt is the ASH champ.

        Gentlemen,
Please do not assume until an announcement is made. This issue is still under review and as soon as I have something official to post, I will.
        Thank you,

If Matt is the official champion when it’s all said & done….will we get an updated page for our books we bought?

Final vote was 57-53. I said my peace at the meeting and will not be further commenting on any Internet outlet on the subject.

              Thanks Jeff

I will attempt to show restraint until such time.

At this point I feel bad for both Matt and Tony. What a mess.

                      Wow!

This seems very familiar. Oh yeah, anyone remember H1's San Diego race this September?

This was and still is a 3 ring circus. To put Matt and Tony threw this again APBA/Stock outboard should be embarrassed.

Once Jeff posts the official result, I will gladly come on here to explain how this conclusion was made and the procedure that was followed. Although the results will always be controversial, the explanation of the process carried out to its final conclusion should satisfy members on both sides of the issue. I will say, it was an eye opening experience and we, the membership, will ultimately benefit.
                            Please be patient.
