Yamato 80 Lower gearfoot. took at hard hit in the trailer. cracked about 2/3 of the lower fin. looking for info on who can repair or if anybody has one for sale. Thanks Justin 88-S

I had a similar unit welded a few years back in the same area and it failed during a race and the boat flipped.................
Get a replacement gearcase.........

Had an impact with something and bent my skeg over at about 45 degrees. Simply cut it off just below the torpedo and had a new skeg welded on. The welder made the new skeg. Ran it on CMH for several seasons. No problems. propfxr084 here on hydroracer did it for me. Jack

Tom Johnston welded a skeg of mine that had a hairline crack in similar spot.
Has held up very well.

Thanks for the "props" Jack, Even though it can be done, (we have done well in excess of 3000 skeg jobs) I would reccomend replacing the housing if one is available. BryanComment

I have anew 80 unit that I have had for years. It was on a model 80 that got converted to a RB motor that was run at that time. Let me know if you want it, 300.00 SteveComment
