Colonial Beach, VA would like to have a race that weekend to coincide with their annual Potomac River Festival. If June 11-12 is the only weekend available for Denton, I'll ask and find out if their shindig can be moved up to June 18-19
Anyone know of any conflicts with June 18-19?Last edited by sam; 01-05-2005, 03:33 PM.

Sam thanks for all your hard work lining up the folks at Colonial beach but unless they are 100% in writing I would cast my vote for Denton having the dates, the folks at Denton are a proven supporter and sure thing. Just my two cents please do not take offense to this I know how much work goes into finding new race sites. The only problem is first time race sites have been know to back out at the last minute for city paper work issues etc. I am not saying that your folks would do this but in the event we pass on Denton and the new site backs out we are left with nothing.
Just a thought Im sure Big Dave Augustine can sort things out and give you a hand with this.HTML Code:

Northeast Divisionals?
The APBA web site lists the Stock and MOD Northeast Divisionals as tentatively scheduled for June 11 & 12 in Whitney Point, NY. It's shaping up to be a very busy weekend!
I'm sure some will get moved, but from this thread it looks like Warren, PA, Taunton, MA, Denton, MD and Whitney Point (and Colonial Beach, VA?) are scheduled for the same dates.
What's up?

Warren, PA date
Warren, PA is locked in for June 11 & 12, same weekend as it was in 2004. There will be many improvements as last year was our first year there. This is a site where WE were contacted to come there to bring attention to the Allegheny Reservoir/Kinzua Dam area and last year I think we did it. Friday night, I did several demo runs in my 20ssH in front of thousands and I mean thousands of people in downtown Warren on the narrowest river I've ever been on. The end result: one of the largest spectator turnouts I've ever seen on Sat & Sun.
Last year was just the start of something special for Three Rivers. There will be a big drivers party/bonfire, you name it......all we need is support from drivers. This will also be a stop on Andrew Fralick's Meals on Wheels Series Tour.
Hope you can make it,
Jerry BrewsterLast edited by Brew56; 01-29-2005, 07:21 AM.
