There seems to be a common theme on here lately about NBRA vs APBA. I don't think many of the NBRA members hold any animosity toward APBA. I don't think that NBRA is trying to steal APBA members, so I don't get where the animosity comes from. We in NBRA have our own thing going, and it works for us. If other racers think that appeals to them, that's great, if not that's great too as long as they are racing. But I think the anger has to stop. I know a lot APBA members feel that NBRA has stolen something from them by the USTS going NBRA, but that's not the case, we are not out recruiting other organizations members, but sometimes they do seek us out. I personally hope NBRA doesn't grow too big so that we don't have some of the problems that other organizations have. We are all just small time boat racers trying to have a good time, and there is plenty of room for the both of us to exist. I hate to read the anti NBRA posts as well as the anti APBA posts. It all just needs to stop and we can all coexist peacefully and do our own thing. By the way I'm not an officer or director of NBRA, just a driver.

Amen Keith!
I am an NBRA member thru and thru but I sincerely hope that someday I am able to attend an APBA race so I can meet some of the people I know only through Hydroracer. Whether I agree with them or disagree with them on boat racing ideology, I don't care. I just want to see them race and talk with them about or sport......boat racing.Last edited by Dennis Crews; 01-10-2013, 02:47 PM."In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is a congress". -- John Adams

Keith, I don't have any issues with what went down. I have gotten several emails from people thinking that I am mad at NBRA & USTS. Let me say, I am not. Am I sorry to see it happen? Sure, but only because it does hurt APBA a bit. But I wish NBRA & the USTS nothing but the best.
I talk to Pete N. yesterday about the whole P.P. ordeal. Hopefully Pete knows that I am not mad at him after we talked. Like I shared with him, I just wish we would have communicated better. I also told him I understand that BSOA wouldn’t commit to what they were doing in regards to that race so shame on us also."Ask anyone, I have no friends. This is my take.. AOF still exists... NBRA has become the sanctioning body in
the states that used to be AOF states.. Mostly the still the same bunch of
great guys.. A lot of these same guys always carried 2 cards.. AOF and APBA.
Politics was not an issue.. A lot of the AOF,, now NBRA guys in the past have
won numerious National Championships at the APBA Mod Nationals.
AND a lot of the APBA guys have won numerious National Championships at the AOF
Nationals,,now called NBRA.There is no sense in naming names as you know who you
are and you are all the greatest,, racing with no politics. Have a great week-end.

Roger they have a few races pretty close to us. We went to one that did not conflict on dates. (Gene and I) We let them know we were coming. They said they would make sure we had a class to run. and they did. Unfortunately for some reason our team decide to bring runabouts.. (our bad) we got there and they had A hydros and OMC's... so we did get boat time in the runabouts with their novice class. By no means would they have had to do that! We had some fun, met some people in person to put names with faces and had a good time.
IF this is not clear enough, WE (team Schertz) dropped the ball on communication. and they still bent over backwards to accommodate us.
the main reason for the post is to point out you only have to go to south central Il. to reach one of their races
