    looking for some help.
I run a 302 on a runabout (flat turner) and when running in the straights she goes like a rocket. When coming to the halfway point or out of a turn she seams to just dog out like it is getting to much fuel or not enough it seems to "miss" or stutter like it is going to shut down but once out of the turn it goes like a rocket again.
I have tried many different props and also on another boat but it still seems to "dog" out of the corners. (I keep the throttle sqeezed the entire time also).
I wanna come out as fast as I go in. Is it something I am doing or has anyone else ever had this happen to them and can give me some suggestions?

    carb is too rich

When you test, if you test, lean it 1 click a time.

Thank You Tim, I will give this a try. I was under the impression that I was running it to lean but I had to hear it from another racer. The 302 is new to me this year so I have some learning to do.

      Thanks again,
      Mike

Also, check your timing. The book says .200 - .250 BTDC. Though, I wouldn't recommend over .235.

        Good luck!
