I have the dubious honor of being Past President of local Rotary Club and I sat through a presentation yesterday on the First Tee Program.

As I was listening to one our presentation, it made me thing of my days as a J Driver - those skills that I learned, I now apply every day of my life.

If you go to their website and look at the 9 Values, these are exactly what we want our kinds to learn while being involved with boating.

I look up and down the pits, I'm always impressed of the quality of people that are participating in our sport.

Point I'm trying to make, is we, as a group of hobbyists, are great group of people.

Second point, as First Tee uses golf as a "field" to develop core values, what's to stop US from putting together a program that uses boating as our "field".

We virtually already have a curriculum that we could adapt, and adjust to our needs.

My question is to educators out there (even you Donny) in the boating community, what are your thoughts on a potential program similar to this being put into place?
