Wow! what a great race This year!
Conditions were the best in the three years I've attended this race!
Clock seemed a little early but once racers allowed, it was some of the best conditions I've seen in my short 13 year career!

Yes, it was a great event.

But IOA was the host club and did a great job. Perfect spot for a boat race...and that weather was textbook.

Alexandria race

Thanks also to all who attended on behalf of the IOA.

A race only runs smoothly if everyone is ready to hit the water when their heat is called. I didn't have to wait one time all weekend and it is greatly appreciated and very commendable. Even the turn boat flips were some of the quickest I had seen.

We are especially glad to see more stock guys come back to the race. While we are "The Home of the Modifieds" we welcome all and are happy to see the stock count coming back.

Lets all remember this for next year and help build it into a great season wrap up race.

Great weekend!!
Big thanks to Eric Vanover, the Roskowski's and all of IOA for putting on a first class event. Weather was perfect (sunny, 80's and no humidity) and water was ripple chop all weekend. $10 steak & potato dinner in the pits was as good as a steak house. Saturday's fire pit was perfect to keep the night chill away.
Thanks for all that help me put the wetside back down on the wounded 500 hydro.

I think I heard that Eric Vanover and Bob Koshka are going to bring a guitar and put on a variety show next year.

Always enjoy racin even when its a picture perfect weekend. All the old iron ran surprisingly well and I had probably my best time for the summer even tho my 44 merc turned to shrapnell at the start line second heat

Thank you IOA for the great treatment you guys gave our team this year, not only the Alex race but the Hillsdale race. The race committee got us on the road early. Got home at 1PM ( Joyce drove my wounded self all the way home.) Got it on the schedule for next year.

Thanks IOA for the great race. Thanks Eric Vanover for directing everything. Also want to thank those on the judges stand who worked all day (Roskowski's, Dirkson's and Herkenhine's). you all do an amazing job of putting on a race. And whoever had connections with the weather man......you should be hired for 2013 FULL TIME!!!!!!!!!!! Got home about 1:30 which was nice and doing a root canal by 11:00 am. My patient said thanks to the scheduler so I could get some sleep!!!!!!

Looks like my transfer to the Daytona Beach VMF/garage is NOT gonn'a happen do to too many displaced (local) Postal workers and office/mail processing closures so my retirement from the USPS is final and I should have time this week ta head North and git my race trailer and maybe, ship or....haul to the TEXAS RACE that 22 CI OMC A-MOD/25MOD/B-1 motor!!.....PLUS>>>>> they just offered a $$cash$$... "Incentive"/buyout! ta RETIRE, to my union/craft ("timing IS...everything!!!").... SO.........I will have the CASH... for MORE BOAT RACING PARTS!!!...AND...for those "treatments"......sweet!!.....
