Been lofting up plans for a new DSH...need something with a little less lift then current hull.....took out some of the area between pickles....tried to use old plans....way to much hassle. Spent around 20 hours so far drawing..something I really enjoy, as I have all of the equipment needed from having a cartography degree from the UW.....could NOT find enough honeycomb, so I went and bought a sheet of 3/8 marine today....ugh. Planning on having two race ready hulls for 2013..one for records and nationals and long courses, the other for short rough water courses. Might be taking both hulls to Whitney Point next year....Will start posting pics as I get going on things. Dave

Dave I guess you told the accountant to take a hike?? Sounds like a solid plan to me..I have to ask what is the 3/8's sheet for?

            Great job George!

Super craftsmanship! Thanks for sharing. Wish I was there to make sawdust with you. Awesome job rounding your pickle fork tips

You can never have to many clamps...lol...Paul right now the pickle ends are just cut off square and will get rounded balsa blocks glued on.

Laid up the transoms, dashboards, stringers and other flat parts for the Millennium Falcon and Santa's Little Helper.

Thanks to vitalire.com for letting me use their screen printing drier - worked great to ensure all the moisture was out of the wood!

                          Guedo,
I'm starting to put the puzzle together on your new boat...

                          1) You obviously don't need a lightweight boat to race
                          2) You have a freshly built Merc 15 motor
                          3) The Merc Guy currently races a....Tohatsu???

So, you are obviously building a 43lb AXH for Daren!

                          Happy building. Looking good!!

                          Mike

jeez, it is so hard nowadays to keep a secret!!!! As to "my" AXH, I don't see any where in the rules that says i cannot run 2 Merc 15's on the back!!!! Still working on the custom steering bar and dual throttle hook ups.......you will be SO jeolous!

oh ya, and Mike, I am almost done building your new Tohatsu D motor, so hope you are about done building the new boat for it........if not, get off the computer and back out in the shop.....

signed "Tohatsu Guy" (during race wekends)

Is there anyway I could buy one of the fiberglass nose cowls you used on your boat? If so, how much? I may be referbishing an older Roper and would need a new nose cowl. Thanks.
