  • Seattle Outbourd's Moses Lake race

As co-race director, I would like to thank everybody that made Moses Lake a fun race. Special thanks to Jim Nielsen and Pat Gleason for doing the referee chores, Hogbody for taking care of inspection, Dave Salmon for stepping up and taking over risk manager for Kyle Bahl, and the people at Connelly park who bent over backward to make us feel welcome. As you know..this is not always the case at race sites. We were down a bit on entries...somewhere around 60 on Saturday, but the weather was fantastic, somewhere in the low 90s...with a little wind coming up in the later afternoon. Of course that happened during the second heat of D stock....check out the pics that Pat Gleason may post on here in a day or two if you want to see a bunch of D stocks on the verge of blowing over at 80 mph....great fun in the Casino Saturday night (don't ask me how I did at blackjack. that game is RIGGED) and fun times in the bowling alley. And yes..I will have to be very carefull where I sit at Lawerence Lake....anyway...we got blown off today after getting thru the first 2 heats...J hydro and C hydro. Oh yah...we have 2 new excited J drivers. Their beaming faces after they come in from running makes it all worth it. 9US

We missed you at race Kyle...ya, park people are super nice. The park director came to drivers meeting Sunday morning and thanked us for being there. Sure wish we could have ran Sunday....D stocks were literally getting ready to go in the water when the wind came up. The J kids were excited to go back out....sorta sucked. 9US

Was super fun. Also, nice that I didn't have to drive that far. Thanks for all the hard working folks who put it on. Moses Lake seems like its always a gamble for getting two back to back racing days.
