One last thing, I wanted to thank Val Collins and Matt Gallagher for posting live to HydroRacer TV over the weekend. Val was my field reporter at the OPC Nationals and Matt was posting from Lock Haven.

As a boat racing junkie it is great to get this kind of coverage. On my first visit I was a little overwhelmed by information but I really appreciate and enjoy being able to quickly scan for interesting posts. This kind of aggregation is definitely needed and is a great service. I'm sure it will only get better. Thank you, Dan!

The landscape of social media is changing daily and at lighting speed so I figure why not test the waters with a new start up and see what happens. So far I am very pleased with the results.

If a race venue wants there content to be included on our front page all I need is the club Twitter url or the personal Twitter url for the person who will be tweeting live from the race site, that's it.

It also has a component which allows your Instagram photos to post directly to the site which is how we pulled off coverage from Lock Haven and the OPC Nationals. Both Val and Matt simply used the HRTV Instagram user name and password on their IOS devices and it was on!

Best of all its free and you don't need a marketing firm to run it or maintain it :-) hint, hint. Scary part is that its a start up which could go under tomorrow but since its basically just a aggregation tool your main source content is still back online at its original location.

Are you actually streaming this live from Boretto? That means if the race starts at 12:00 noon, you would have to get up at 5:00 AM to watch it? Is this correct or will it be delayed a little bit?

We will be posting live photos and updates only sorry no live streaming that I am aware of at this time. Christian Langer is our field reporter for the weekend and will be posting directly to HRTV via his Android device.
