  • Nbra Quincy Illinois race

Any word if they are still going to try and have this race? I know they've cancelled it in years past due to low water levels.

Marty all I can tell you is that the race is still on the NBRA web site for the 15th and 16th of September and since we take care of the site and have not beeen told to remove I would say it is a go at this time subject to change

Go north on the road that runs next to the river. It is about 3miles from the bridges watch for the Twin Oaks Boat Club sign. Great place to race at,good water & pits. ODA has raced at this site many times. Lots of history Quincy Welding did a lot of there testing at this site.

                Thanks Art,
Do they have room for RV's? Speeking of Quincy welding I have acquired a 30, 40 and 44 Quincy loopers. All will be restored and made to run. I intend to run the engines on a Gerry Waldman Sid hydro I bought from kerby Pabst.

Yeah there is room. Electric at the club, but nothing else. Camp ground about a half mile away with full hookups

                      Quincy, Il. motel

Here is another option, this one overlooks the river. Americas Best Value Inn.
300 So. 3rd, Quincy, Il. phone: 217-224-7733 I hear they are pretty resonable, they do have a web site you can check.

Made our reservation at Althoff, looking forward to Quincy again always had fun there, took my first ride there thanks to Jim Homfeld in 96. Had another first there later on that I try to forget. Come to think of it Jim was first responder to that when he jumped out of his boat to help me.
