      Howie, could you clarify:

Joe's record in CSH is just a good ol' fashioned broken (smashed) record, and does not fall under the 95% rule. Therefore, Joe received the HOC points, correct?

      CSH Grandfathered - 61.364
CSH new 95% - 62.248 Joe Pater in Lakeland
      CSH 3/4 - 58.033

When I grow up, I want to be as fast as Joe....

I believe he broke 100% the 20SSH record too.

So now any of those 95% records set by Bennett, Bahl, etc. can be broken at Dayton or a different record runs to earn HOC points correct? Even though the person may still not break the original record?

Better yet, all the 95% records that are set at Dayton on the 3 Mile/3 Lap course can be broken at Yelm for HOC points?

Bahl's CSR record this year was a 1-1/4 mile record, not the one 1 mile. He broke the 1 mi record last year, so it is subject to grandfatherhood.....

PS--Donny, I just shipped your stuff back today.

From a document sent to HQ by Chairman Brewster on the records...

One last subject for your information is a situation that occurred at the winter nationals this year. We had a driver set the 95% record on Friday and then beat the original record that previously existed on Sunday. We have determined that since APBA only recognizes the fastest speed over the weekend, that driver will receive Hall of Champion points if he or she qualifies for the hall per our rules.

Good catch Patrick, I fixed CSR with the correct 1 mile record

When I multiplied the old grandfathered record for 20SSH x 1.003 it just missed so I do not think Joe got HOC points, but he should get them for CSH.

For any of the classes that did get a new 95% record then yes, if that speed is increased by the 1.003 multiplier then they should qualify for HOC pts.

It's probably too late to get hot pink sleeves then?

                  Patrick/Kyle,
Did you break it at 95% or 1.003 over the old record?
                  Mike

Per your father's instructions, you got the hot pink along with the sequined glitter stripes on the arms, faux fur trimmed neck collar and battery powered Christmas lights on the cuffs. Totally bada$$.
