            Novice C Props

I talked to Mr. Pinner about this class and his idea was to run 2 blade props that he had plenty of castings from the same molds. If they work we can get more and create our own prop program. I bought 4 for 5 hundred. Rocky

              Novice C high points

I need to give a huge shout out to all the scorers this region for pulling this info together for me. Here goes:

              McMurphy Ken 1923
              Sullivan Dave 1908
              Wesanko Glen 1389
              Magnuson Ron 1325
              McMurphy Charles 1240
              Harmon Mike 1078
              Salmon David 1006
              Policar Aaron 871
              McMurphy Brad 495
              Burkhart Shane 388
              Rucker Ashley 225
              Reins Bruce 127
              Pappas Nicos 71

A couple very interesting side notes here. 1)Saturday will be Ken's 3rd race out of the class, making him eligible to run Sunday. 2)Sullivan, Harmon and Magnuson are all sitting on 2 wins, if one of them picks up their 3rd win on Saturday they will begin their 3 races out of the class starting Sunday. 3)Brad McMurphy trails only Ken in the all important stat of average points per race at 247. BTW, I don't recall him taking a swim yet?

This has been a pretty fun ride so far. Keep in mind that you guys are running this class in part because of the shark infested waters of CSH, let's not let it become another C class. Have fun and be safe.

                Novice C Props

The 2 blade props might be alright, when Harry and I talked this over he told me a racer from California had order a second one because he was so happy with the first one. Hopefully they will work for us.

Tony, before you guys make a decision on props and any class changes for next year maybe you and Dave could set down and talk with those of us that have been running it with you guys this year? I know I heard alot of rumors on things people have liked and things some of us didn't? My own opionion but I don't think a two blade prop is the way to go? I know I'm gonna put my tiny nards back into C-stock next year! And I know I have never run a two blade or anyone else for that fact in C-stock. I don't really know if thats preparing us for the big boys? I have heard from several of the other racers in C-Novice that they would be willing to pay an initial fee up front each year to help pay for props? And the idea of us using our own prop for the second heat sounds like a great idea for helping us get dialed in to race with the big boys? Just my thought! Maybe we can set down and discuss it over my 5th of Crown this Sunday? Can't wait gonna be a blast!!!!!!!

                    Consider it done

At least the discussion part, maybe we will have to convene a commision meeting even I am betting you will find a lot of responses to the 2 blade idea. My personal experience, and this is totally NOT as a driver, is that there wasn't much of a noticable difference between 2's and 3's. The whole idea was to do our best to "level the field", and I think if we let guys run their own props you lose that.

OK, ATTENTION ALL NOVICE C RACING COMMISIONERS: There will be a commision meeting Saturday night in front of the cabins starting sometime. Don't be late, and prepare to have to think a little (this might be where a little liquid cooling for the brain comes in). All Novice C drivers are encouraged to attend.
