    hi guys im new im in sc and we are putting a small brag boat club together what im wondering i have a 13ft critchfield but ive been looking at the hydro for a while. i have a 40 tahotsu what size hydro would you look at for drag racing we are also looking at the round track to but this will be our first race in july so we are trying figure it out as we go thanks

    I'd look for a 11 to 12 foot hydro. and you will want one that is designed to handle your expected top end. a hydro will be faster then a runabout using the same motor.

      is there somewhere to buy plans to fit what im looking for and also would i need to change the gearcase or can i use the stock one

        Would love to see a picture of your critchfield.Awesome boats! Look for a good used D hydro and a short tower if you want to use the hydro.

          Check the Hull and Hardware list in the left colume on the main page of this forum. MRC, B&H, or contact one of the builders in your area. Replacing the foot with a racing gearcase will give you more speed. You will probably have to have someone make an adaptor plate and drive shaft to use one.

            Where in SC? I am in Augusta, GA working on a Bullet 130 deep vee with a Tohatsu 50 tldi.
