      hands down the VELOCITEK.........spendy, but the most accurate I have ever owned.............and the screen is HUGE!!

          Best Mode of the E trex

          Seems there are several E trex models. any specific suggestions ? .. Going to be Jacks birthday present this week.

            Cheapest one. See photo. All I care about is the second line of the display: maximum speed. The other features on that screen don't interest me and the other pages way-points and all that, well, I never plan on getting lost in the woods and have to Daniel Boone my way home.

              One of our club members sells these... the display is the best I have ever seen! If I remember right you get 15% off if you are a racer, but verify with them. He ships anywhere and has a USA dealer too I believe:

                This is the simplest and one we use..........go to Bass Pro Shop or one of those big box fishing shops and get it. Also they sell the snap on carrying case to attach to the back of the lifejacket!!

                The 14 year old kid at the counter will show you how to use it in 5 minutes!!

                    You can also use the E trex to run the course and see just how big it is..They are handy and I can even use it!!!!
